A sought after player and teacher, Liam has worked with countless musicians at home and abroad. Collaborators include Mark Lockheart, Christine Tobin, Julian Siegel, Chris Batchelor, Lionel Loueke, Eric Harland, Drew Gress, Larry Grenadier and duos with Dave Liebman and Tim Berne. From Elgar to electric Miles, his recent solo CD “A Room Somewhere” reflects both a wide range of interests and an attention to nuance and detail. His new trio recording “ The Long Game” explores a new electronic voice with Tom Herbert and Seb Rochford. More recently, through lockdown Liam did 39 solo concerts from his home online featuring music from the 15 th century to the present day. He currently also plays with Ethiopian jazz legend Mulatu Astatke and currently teaches at TrinityLaban, The Royal Academy and Birmingham Conservatoire.
