Across his career, he has played drums everywhere from Carnegie Hall to the Royal Albert Hall.
He’s performed on over 50 albums with notable names like Brandon Flowers, Billy Bragg,
Ronan Keating,, Madeleine Peyroux, Van Morrison, Ronnie Wood and Daniel Lanois, Lee
Konitz and Kenny Wheeler. Darren was Madeleine Peyroux’s drummer for 9 years and tours
with Brandon Flowers of ‘The Killers’ playing on and touring his 2 solo albums, and is credited
as co-writer on the lead single‘Can’t Deny My Love’ on Brandon Flowers’ number one charting
second solo album,‘The DesiredEffect’.
He has toured with Lauryn Hill, Beth Orten, Mercury
Rev. He has worked with notableproducers Daniel Lanois (U2) Stuart Price ( Madonna, The
Killers) Mark Platti ( David Bowie) LarryKlein ( Joni Mitchell). He recently finished up a West End
6 month run with Richard Hawley Standing at the Skys Edge’.
Darren spends a good deal of time recording remotely from his own studio for TV and Film. Recently Darren has been recording on
a project with Nick Cave and Bon Iver.
